Bake sale fundraiser for Haiti in Powers Hall today

Today, Wednesday, there will be a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Powers Hall to help raise money for Haiti. There will be a variety of snacks and goodies but donations will be accepted also.

Children's Literature Club no longer in existence

Like Snow White after she ate the apple, the Children’s Literature Club is dormant.

The club, which was advised by Dr. Anne Rae in past years, has declined in the enrollment of members and advisors, leading to the club’s inactivity during the 2008-09 school year.

Delta Eta Beta plans to bring in speaker on breast cancer awareness

Delta Eta Beta, the academic village senate, has its eyes set on Monday, Nov. 24, as a possible day for an event dealing with breast cancer. The senate plans on raising awareness of breast cancer by bringing in a guest speaker.

“I’m really excited about the possibilities of this event,” Hillary Remmick, Delta Eta Beta vice-president said. “This could potentially be life-changing for students on campus.”
